Moved back to Wales at last. A million times better here, close to the sea, warmer (a little) and closer to things that are going on. Been to the beach for some location scouting, good stuff.
No internet atm, well, limited. Sky take aaaaaaggggees to get it sorted, I've been using this dongle for now. Hope to get online this week.

Brace yourselves, December is coming.

What is it? 8 weeks away or something? it's starting to get cold and Bumble is in a lot. Time to buy a new jacket I think, for me I mean.
We got this stuff to calm his nerves for the journey to Wales as well. You rub it on his paws and when he cleans himself, he licks the stuff. Can't wait to try it for some reason.

I'll keep you posted on that.

For now, here's a quick video I did when I saw the GTA V trailer. I noticed the drunk dude right at the 1 min mark. He's only in it for like a second or something, but thought he'd be good to play as.
So I did this.

Interactive Video

Just for fun I made this interactive video



I've made a keyboard one in the past and thought I'd give this a try. I may do another soon, speed it up a little. This was fun to make though. : )

Busy on another video at the moment, I'll post that soon, and some more drawings.
We'll be moving soon as well, I think Bumble is going to meow in the car for hours! he'll enjoy a nice new garden though.

Intergalactic Black Ops

I spent a week in London with a big bunch of other YouTubers, we collaborated on videos, had lunch at the Google offices, got some great info and had a good time.

So much onfo to take in and so much to do in the coming months, it's all so very exciting :D

Anyhow, I'll be working on various projects now including some animated series I've always wanted to do.

One of them in Intergalacit Black Ops featuring the voice talents of Khyan and JPelirrojo, I even got Mystery Guitar Man in this first episode. I got to meet him in London and what a nice guy he turned out to be.

Random drawing time

One Year

Has it been one year already? yup, one year since I started this blog. I've been a little slack with the posting but I shall do more. I think I'll write another Spooky story for the 31st of October this year again, I enjoyed that. : ) For the most part of the year I have been stupid busy with all sorts of things like Youtube and Kami Retro. And stuff like this... I had fun with that little video. I'm playing around with some new styles and sounds these days, ramping things up for better things to come shortly. : D yay.

What's going on?!!!!

Well my friends, quite a lot at the moment. Tired of hearing how busy I am? well join the club!!
This summer I have mostly been working. Some time on some new vids but mostly on new games.

On the plus side, I'm happy to say I won the YouTube NextUp compo. Which is great because I now get to update all my kit and finally get a load of HD going on.

I have huge plans for the next year or so. It will be a lot of work bringing games, animations and a movie some time soon. All stuff in the works, I'll get more info to you soon enough. For now it's just busy busy busy, but all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.....

The cats are coming.......

Here's a scary thought.

OK, now I think the age of teh cats is almost here.
Their time has come. It happens in 6 stages....

Stage 01.
First it's the 'wide open sleep'. Sleeping with their eyes open. Looks weird, is weird. It begins.



Stage 2.
yes, stage 2 is number 2.
Using human toilet. Be afraid.



Stage 3.
Angry cats. We see them, they see us. Man, they are not happy.



Stage 4.
Slayer, you know you're cat isn't right when it starts litening to slayer. In case you haven't realised, cat's don't listen to music, so when this happens, it's not a good sign.



Stage 5.
Doing drugs.
not cool.



Stage 6.
The great pretender. Oh, he's the great pretender. Pretending that he's doing well, or that he is a dog. Either or really.
This skill is for the advanced kitty. BEWARE.

AT-AT on my desktop

Finished up on KAMI RETRO for the time being and onto a brand new shiny project. It'll make a nice change to start a new project after all this time for sure.

In other news, summer is on its way. I can't wait. Bumble has been outside a lot these days and his black fur is going ginger in the sun. I notice he has a few more grey hairs these days too. Just like me.

Well I have a ton of work to do, so I'll leve you with my new toy, I bet you'd like one one these as wel.

In other news, still busy getting the HD version of KAMI RETRO out the door. You wouldn't believe the effort that has gone into making this work. Anyhow, I'll let you know when that'll be out.

I didn't realise I had done so many. About six and a half mins worth.

ohh, it's ealry and late at the same time now. Although I have been going to bed a lot later these days due to crunch time on KAMI RETRO. Well almost there. Good job I say as well as I'm pretty much worn out now. A year worth of hard work has gone into that game and we're very proud indeed. Can't wait to get it released on the internets now.

That's all to come next month, so at this time of the morning I would like to present the Interactive Cat Keyboard.

you will have to let the video load fully then you can play the keys with the number keys on your keyboard right there in front of you. Yes, right there.
(sometime you may have to skip the video around a bit once it loads, not sure why, youtube bugs!)

Busy life

It's been a busy year so far. Just into the second month and the work just never ends.
I work from home now so that is a great thing to do if you can. But it doesn't mean that you work any less, I'd say more if anything. And aside from this blog and my Youtube that I keep going I have a game that I have been working very hard on. More on that in a bit.

I recently had a tooth extracted and to be honest it knocked me for six. I was fine for the first day or so then it hit hard. Ouch! I won't be doing that again in a hurry that's for dure :P

Here's a new short for you if you don't watch my Youtube. It called moon.



Took me a while to render this one out and had to do it over time due to other commitments. But it was fun to make and got me thinking, how about 3D?

So I tried it, it works pretty well so I'll do more of this for sure. I have a plan and hope to get it done real soon.

The most exciting thing for me a the moment right now is KAMI RETRO. I've been working on it for a long time now, this is the trailer we put together before Christmas, there's been a lot of work done since then mind and a new trailer will be up towards the end of the month. But for now, here's a teste at least :)

Youtube Partnership & 8-Bit Ted Williams

Just over a year ago I started posting videos on Youtube. I'd had my account for a number of years but never really bothered with it. I would watch a lot of videos but never log in or comment and all of that kind of thing.
Then something changed, I decided I would start making more animations. I mean I was able to do them so why not I thought. I was already making loads of animated gifs so why not put them together and upload them with sound to Youtube. So I did. In December 2009 I posted my first real little short animation I'd done in years. It was called Video message to Mr. Mouse. This is it...



It was made out of animated gifs, with a cat character I'd been working on. Well let's face it, it's Bumble in some cartoon form. He doesn't mind.

Well, over time I started making more an more and one day decided to jazz up my youtube page. I wanted a big logo at the top like some others I'd seen and all the other stuff that made it look nice. I tried and tried but it wasn't working. It took me a while to find out that you had to be a Youtube partner to get all the good options that make your page look nice.
Well this was a setback. Turns out it takes a lot of work to become a Youtube partner.



So I'll cut this really short, I worked all year trying to make videos that people would enjoy and that I would enjoy making. I figured it had to be a good balance, I love to animate and it would be even better to have people watch what I did. And now, just over a year later, a day after I posted my latest video and one month after applying for partnership I got it.



Yesterday was a happy day for me, so for all of you that watch these videos or read this blog, thank you.
I am a happy man :)

Now all I have to do is sort out my page that I worked so hard to get!

Back to normal and FIRST!

I am over the cold at last.
It hung in there for ages and ages but now at last it has gone away.



Aside from being super busy at the moment, I managed to finish off this animation that has been in the works for a while.

it's called FIRST!



these things take a lot of time and work so I can only manage so much at the moment due to an even bigger project that I and a couple of friends are working on. But I'll have more on that in a while.

I'm just glad I'm not sick anymore.

Ladybug Park

So, all Christmas I've had this nasty cold. I've watched my fair share of movies and eaten a good load of chocolate. All the things I expected to do really, although I couldn't taste anything and I felt tired the whole time.

There was one thing I didn't expect though.

this Ladybug.



I'm convinced ladybugs are both the cutest and dumbest of bugs.
It flies into my face at random moments. Lands on my laptop screen and keyboard. Even lands on my hands and head.

Well, it looked bored , and as I think I made a new friend I got to work with a christmas card, some tape and some string.

I made a see-saw, a swing and a slide.
The next time it landed on my hand I took it to the home made park.
We had some fun there.
just look...



I think I'll make a nice house next. With a pool, why not!

Happy new year?

Well, it was a funny 2010 for me. I'm looking forward to a brighter 2011. We may as well enjoy this year as it will probably be our last, or so I've heard.

But to be honest, it hasn't got off to the best start.
It started on Christmas eve.
Everything was going well up to about 5 p.m.

and then it happened.



the sick feeling clogged up my face and I was sneezing and coughing and all kinds of nasty things.



It got worse on Christmas day.
by the time Boxing day was here I was snotty beyond my wildest nightmares and felt like I was coughing up my whole insides.



On the 28th of December, I blew up.



what a mess.

Now, in this brand new year, I still feel ill.
I'm keeping warm and hope it goes away soon.
very soon.
